How Do Women Portray Themselves at Workplace?

Women are making strides in the work arena. They are competing with men and proving themselves as competent, decisive and enterprising. They are working with them on a shoulder-to-shoulder basis in a very professional manner. They are committed to their work, take their work very seriously and excel in what they do.

Women are asserting themselves in workplace and being feminine does not affect their work output. They contribute well. They are dedicated and sincere in their approach and fight for their equal rights in terms of equal pay, maternities benefits and work hours. They raise their voice against any discrimination on the basis of sex.

Men are now accepting women on par with them although some still have reservations about their capabilities. Women do have a difficult time in proving their worth, as their femininity comes in the way. Men feel they are the “weaker” sex and cannot compete with them equally. Yet, it is a reality that women are there to earn and employers have to take them seriously.

How do women assert themselves in the workplace?

Women have a long way to go in proving their merit and convincing men that they can take on any work with equal ease. They need not confine themselves to traditional work meant for women. They are undertaking work which uptil now felt they must perform.
