Anger Management for Teens

Anger gets us nothing and does more harm than good. It is natural to get angry but the outcome of anger is always negative. The person who gets angry loses more and in the long run anger brings the person face to face with devastating consequences. Teenagers need to be trained to control anger and parents have a role to play here.

As anger is ensued by devastation, the opposite of anger is relaxation and you can’t be creative if you can’t relax. We get angry for various reasons and we express out anger by shouting, screaming and destroying objects around us. This shows that we are impatient and intolerant and we cannot make life better neither for ourselves nor for others if we are neither tolerant nor patient.

To be tolerant means we need to give space to disagree. We need to understand that we cannot be winners always and that if we are not winners now, we can be so one day and that definitely requires patience.

Working hard and exploring opportunities far and beyond the trodden path would require patience and courage. And waiting to achieve something requires patience and we need some sort of support and but there are people who have done things without support and when they could prove themselves right the world came behind them. From isolation to fan following is no mean job. Work hard, be patient and accept whatever comes on your way and this strategy is one of the ways to be a better person and closer to achieving your goals.

Tips to control anger.
Most effective method of dealing with anger is practicing self control. But this is a matter of practice. It does not mean suppression. It means logical acceptance. Start by visualizing pleasant colors. Imagine a pleasant music ringing in your ears. Feel the tranquilizing effect of the cool breeze in the open. Take a look on the objects in your vicinity, imagine the texture of the objects. Just relax your limbs.

If you are unable to cool down walk away by excusing yourself from the situation. Take a long walk. Push all the negative thoughts and feelings away. Take deep breaths. Breathe deeply. Take some breathing exercise because it relaxes your body and mind. Think positive and be creative.
